Memorial Activity Table

Have you ever thought of having a kid’s table at a funeral/celebration of life?

When we plan funerals/memorial services we don’t often think about making space for children and their grief. In fact, we tend to think of these times as specifically not-kid-friendly.

An activity table is a great place for children to be able to go and look at pictures of the deceased. You could include some soft items from that person–quilts they made, a favourite shirt, an old teddy bear or toy.

We’ve also created some free worksheets children can use to explore their grief and reflect on their relationship with their loved one.

You may also want to print off colouring pages of favourite activities, places or animals that were meaningful to the deceased!
