This is a fantastic book for any Pride Service! I’d also highly recommend it for Trinity Sunday, when exploring the different ways we’ve come to know God.
This book features traditional imagery with a twist–like God the female shepherd. It uplifts mothers as strong, fathers as gentle, and both parents as safe. It shows God as three dancers using imagery that defies the gender binary.
It doesn’t go so far as to include gender neutral terms like parent or sibling, but these could be easily added by the reader.
